Guðmundur Arnar Sigmundsson is the director of CERT-IS, the National CSIRT of Iceland. He has led the rapid expansion of the team since Iceland implemented the NIS directive in 2020. 

He holds an M.Sc. degree in telecommunication engineering from the University of Karlsruhe in Germany and a B.Sc in electronic engineering from the University of Iceland. Guðmundur has extensive experience from the private sector, having worked for Vodafone and Origo in Iceland, as well as serving as a senior engineer for Ericsson in Sweden before joining CERT-IS
